I am a hobbyist that love trains. I like the HO and O gauge sets but, especially Lionel due to the size and detail of the sets. I have own my set now for 15 years, I keep it in the original packaging to help maintain it during storage. Every year around the holidays, I set it up, and run it periodically until the new year or when it's time to take down the lights. Every year, I look for new configurations to add to my existing set; and I have never been disappointed with the Fastrack product. Obviously, these track extensions are not cheap but, you get what you pay for. Just happy to find this particular configuration for just under a $100. Been hesitant before but, could not pass up this deal!!! All train hobbyist would understand what I am talking about. It's just something to remind me of my childhood and the fact that trains were key to the industrial revolution here and abroad.Very good option to buy, good quality, good price. Delivered in time.In very good conditionI ordered the 10 year Anniversary Polar Express train for my new little boy (but also secretly for me) got married in October and he's 4 1/2 so it's our first Christmas as a family. My Uncle Hank always had a Lionel train under his tree and I thought it was soooo neat back then and thought a touch of nostalgia for myself (and our family) would be fantastic for a pass it down heirloom.So the small track I was reading about didn't strike me as enough-so I went all out. If you are getting a train-get a decent track and do it right. It's Christmas after all!!!I looked at the handy suggested/others bought pieces and selected several pieces-the straight track 4 pack 6-12032, O36 curved track pack 6-12033, the figure 8 add on track pack 6-12030 as well as the remote right hand switch 6-12046 but forgot I needed a left hand switch-so I got crafty and bought the siding add on track pack 6-12044 because it has the left hand switch (not remote but I figure the train only goes one way-and I don't have multiple trains that I need to park it...YET)! I'm crazy excited and have plenty of track to make all kinds of variations. I hope that I don't run into the quality sides I have read about when people say the trains stop working. We ran it with the short track for about a half hour (be sure to READ the instructions before you do anything-always wise words- and put your smoke liquid in the stack-4 drops, per the instructions) and enjoy. The train is loud on the tracks which is my first complaint the second is the engine is heavy and solid metal-the rest is plastic. We hope to expand a new piece each year so this $6-700 venture better last more than a few years. Hope it's the quality of my Uncles so we see it as we grow old.Seems like a little to much moneyPerfect fit for an existing system!I foolishly thought this was a whole oval track. Apparently not.Brilliant my son loves the extra track so hes train can go further ?Bought this to expand the basic oval track layout included with a Lionel train set. Gives more options for running train with a layout that is more interesting than a boring oval shape alone. Original Lionel parts are quite expensive but I watched this item on Amazon for awhile until I found it priced at a point I was willing to purchase. I only use true Lionel parts and accessories for my several Lionel trains because I’ve found that they perform better than some other non-Lionel brands that are out there. Recommended.Track included in starter sets is very minimal. These are a good way to expand your layout, even simpler layouts that are not complex but will give your train(s) more distance to travel. Also useful for building sidings where industries and factories can be located, or mainline operations with dual tracks (examples only). Amazon has these cheaper in packs of 4 than buying the pieces individually at some other retailers. Highly recommended. You can never have enough track.Cost-effective way to add some flexibility to your train track layout expansion, especially when this is on sale. Includes 2 manually operated Fastrack turnouts (switches) and 2 pieces of curved Fastrack. Can be used to make the inner passing loop (as depicted on the box) or as parts for a different, expanding layout (use your imagination). Recommended but expensive when at regular price. I bought it on sale on Amazon.They were 30 inches but 3 individual 10 in track not single 30 in section. Worked fine but not what I was expecting.
