Did my research because I didn't find out until May that the house I rented a room in has no A/C, and my room is the hottest in the house right in the middle! I like it to be an ice cycle at night in my bedroom with the a/c blasting in the summer to be comfortable. I have medically induced menopause so my hot flashes Dr quote "4-6 times worse than regular" - men who are reading this, ask your wife- and I have 130lb St. Bernard I had fans around the room constantly like a wind tunnel but wasn't good enough. So the search began immediately saw issues with many different things in many different areas. I had order the 4 pack deal for $189 total in April...... no response, still no date on shipping. Cancelled, get me refund and look elsewhere, and this is when I found out it was coming from overseas, at least 30 days to arrive once shipped but stock available was a problem and now it would take 30 days to see refund. When it hit high 80's here in California and I had to cover my dog in cold wet towel with ice bottles shoved around her....I had to get one. So pretty much most of the sights online are overseas and stay away. I constantly looked because it was an emergency! Went to stores everything and became an expert. I went specifically to stores. The square one's that are amazing and suppose to cool office, small-med bedroom...the are for your desk only! Also you'll constantly have to fill water. Make sure you check that it's not a fan with misting water only. Next the size of water tank is the big thing, that's where reviews and looking in all to see what they really have. Look at what they say size rooms they cover and look for living room, large bedroom, den area... So I went through Amazon with this Tools empire unit. I told them the whole story and I needed it immediately and they said they would try their best. Since the lastest by date was only 2 weeks I purchased it. Then became the guinea pig for 5 of my friends, here we go: Amazon got it here in 4 days, completely out together except for the wheels on bottom. I like that because I could just roll it where I wanted and doesn't scratch floors. Size doesn't take up room and fits in many spots. Immediately put the 2 ice blocks that come with it in freezer. **This is important because most portable units don't come with these!** When I was filling the 6 liter water tank I didn't see how by size, then on the 3rd fill of huge bowls and pitchers, they weren't kidding. I also liked that it had a purifier because my dog and I are allergic to everything in Napa. Different speeds, mode settings, temp control, and all of it is on the remote control that comes with it also! ***The only fault is the cord is too short and you'll need an extension cord! ** To make cooler, open lid on top and put your ice block in. Something was off with my ice blocks and wasn't seeing those crystals. Contacted Amazon and they got Toolsempire for me and immediate response all around and in 3 days they sent me 2 new ice blocks immediately with no hassle. I ran this portable cooler 24HOURS A DAY / 7 DAYS A WEEK FOR 3 MONTHS STRAIGHT!!! Not a single problem or malfunction. Found out I just need to clean more often with use and the cooler will let you know. Mine started to leak some water because it was over due. Not only did I never turn it off but it also had to constantly keep dog hair out and filter. That's where I was really impressed and knew I BOUGHT A GREAT PRODUCT! Cleaning is easy, and suggest those swiffer dusters and that really takes care of front. The vents move vertically and horizontal with a swap option that gives wider coverage, which I recommend, so you can get all in it easily to rid of dust and dander.Now I knew it was going to get my room like an ice cycle, but this portable a/c unit got my room to be the coldest always certain times of the day. The other times kept my dog and I comfortable. My tip: ice blocks alone couldn't cool room so i always filled tank with ice water a threw a tray of small ice cubes in as well and worked. Also 4 ice blocks helped because I did constantly rotated them from 2-8pm. I only filled tank morning, between 1-2pm because I added more ice water and cubes, it was only 1/2 empty, and last at night it was good until late morning. I LOVE this product and is great quality that holds up in the hardest conditions which is what I put it through. I don't review, recommend, advise...on things barely ever because I don't have the time and get agitated on the computer, so when I do it's a big deal! I bought this at the end of August at $109.00 and WHAT A STEAL this is the portable a/c unit to get and trust me that I put it through everything. Tank size, size of room it can cover, comes with ice blocks (get 2 more) and can run constantly while purifying the air at same time with no water spraying. No other portable unit that has all this and reasonable price. If you want to spend $400-$600 on the others go ahead, I'm just going to buy another these and the manufacturer said they would make happy to help and sent me 10 percent off coupon. Here's my final point, all 5 friends I sent the copy of my order from Amazon because they wanted to buy one, but the price was now $189 because so many people were getting it. I've been busy with life but saved this from Amazon because I wanted to do this review to help people not get scammed or screwed over, especially with overseas I highly recommend this, I'm getting another around February when nobody wants these, but I'm getting another regardless. I did turn it off 1 month ago, but it will be back on 24 hrs/7days again from March until November next year. **Bonus- Amazon backs it does the shipping, customer issue, anything regarding the product- nobody is better than them.***Note that this is not an air conditioner, it is an evaporative cooler, or swamp cooler as they are better known. Because the principle on which they work, evaporating water, these do not work well in areas of higher humidity. So if you live in a more humid environment, do not consider using any form of evaporative cooling, it just will not work for you. If you live in a dry location then these are certainly worth considering.This unit is fairly small and will certainly not cool a whole house a large room, but it works fine in a smaller room, and even better if you have it near you where it will give you more localized cooling. The unit works well and on the high fan setting does a reasonable job of cooling the small room I have it in. Filled with water I get about 3 hours of cooling before needing to add more water. For me it provides about 20 degrees of cooling, making a 100 degree day more tolerable. Do not use the little ice blocks that come with the unit. Since evaporateive coolers require the evaporation of water, the cooler the water the harder it is to evaporate and the less effective cooling you will receive, the unit will work best if you use room temperature water.Remember that this is an evaporative cooler and not an AC unit, it will only work well for you if you live in a low humidity environment. If you live in a dry place and you just want a little bit of extra localized cooling, this is not a bad unit to try.I like all the features it's nice and cool. Quite as well as easy to operatemI live in West Texas, which is one of the driest and dustiest places in the States. I have been looking for a humidifier for our bedroom and a portable air conditioner we could take glamping. I purchased the 3 in 1 by Toolsmempire and so far it's worked perfectly as described.The unit is small and takes up very little spaced in the corner of our bedroom. It comes with four wheels that easily install on the bottom of the unit and two water bottles that I filled with water and placed in the freezer. It works by running water over the frozen water bottles and then through the unit while blowing air, so it evaporates the water cooling and humidifying the room. I also have two dogs and one cat, so the air purification is welcome in this house. It opens on the side to add water to the built in tank that holds 3 liters. The remote and functions are easy to understand and we have no issues sleeping with it in use. I keep the remote by my bedside and can easily adjust the oscillating fan speed to fit my comfort level.Overall, I'm very pleased with this unit and I would recommend it for everyday use. Plenty of value for the price I paid!Good fan pretty quiet it can blow pretty cool air but it's no AC. Lots of settings I like the natural air setting on low sits next to my bed so it feel like the occasional breeze if you are looking to cool a room or space find something else if you looking for a pretty good fan thats not too oo loud. it's ok on high it's so so for noise but still way quieter than say a box fan on high.Disappointed in this unit. The directions that come with the unit are not very good at all. Even on high it does not push much air out. With the freezer pack the air is fairly cool but the overall temperature of the 10x12 room did not cool down much. The water bin is only a gallon so it will beep at you to refill in just a few hours.So for short term semi cool down in a small too it works, for anything else I would not recommend this unit.This is a good humidifier slash cooling system but be aware that this cooling unit is not for a big place. I have a basement apartment and it is located in my room it cools pretty good but has to be running for like 30 minutes for it to start to get a little cool. And this unit doesn't get AC cold at all but you will get a little chilly with it. I hope that this is helpful
